EXTERIOR/INTERIOR WOOD VARNISH GLOSS

  • A general purpose interior/exterior solvent based varnish for all wood surfaces.
  • For use on new and previously varnished interior or exterior wood surfaces.
  • Type:  A Long Oil Altyd
  • Appearance:  Gloss
  • Colour: Clear, Dark Oak, Light Oak, Teak and Mahogany
  • Solids:  45% by mass
  • Density:  0.82 – 0.86.
  • Viscosity at 25°ͨ: 65-70Kµ
  • Specific Gravity: 0.90-0.91
  • Flash Point: @ 34°ͨ
  • Mixing: Stir well before use.
  • Method:  Brush, Rollers not recommended. Conventional Spray.      
  • Thinning: Mineral Turpentine
  • Clean-up: Mineral Turpentine
  • Spreading rate: 10-12m²/l depending on surface porosity and profile.
  • Conditions: Avoid painting in wet or cold weather. Minimum temp 8°ͨ
  • Drying Time: Touch dry 4 hours. Hard dry 18 hour at 25 degrees.
  • Recoating Time:18 hours
  • Requirements: 2 Coats
  • New surface must be sound, clean and dry(moisture content below 15%) before painting.

    • Sand to a smooth surface in the direction of the wood fiber.
    • Remove all dust.
    • Thin first coat with 10% Mineral Turpentine.
    • Sand slightly with fine sandpaper or fine steel wool in between coats.
    • Apply 2nd coat and 3rd unthinned.
    • To prevent ingress of moisture the end grain must be coated.

     Redecoration

    • For surfaces in poor condition: Strip down and treat as new work.
    • Surfaces in good condition must be slightly sanded, dusted and then treated as new work.
    • For maximum protection on exterior wood 3 coats of varnish is advisable.

  • Density:  0.82 – 0.86.

EXTERIOR WOOD SEALER

  • A high quality long life deep penetrating solvent based exterior wood sealer for hard and soft woods.
  • Sealer for exterior wood where good abrasion is required.
  • Used extensively as decking sealer for doors, windows and frames, gates, fences, garage doors, garden furniture, pergolas etc.
  • Excellent water resistance.
  • Very tough and hardwearing.
  • No peeling and cracking as it penetrates into the wood.
  • Excellent exterior durability and very UV resistant.
  • Very good protection.
  • Anti-Microbial Additives.
  • Type: A single component, long oil alkyd based wood sealer with UV Absorbers and Anti-Microbial Additives.
  • Appearance: Semi-Gloss.
  • Colors: Clear, Mahogany and Meranti.
  • Solids: 25% by mass.
  • Density: .82-.86.
  • Specific Gravity: 0.82 – 0.86.
  • Viscosity at 25ºC: 18-20 Seconds FC 4.
  • Flash Point: Flammable at 34ºC.
    • Mixing: Stir well before use.
    • Method: Brush.
    • Thinning: Mineral Turpentine.
    • Clean up: Mineral Turpentine.
    • Spreading rate: 2.5 m ²/l for the first coat and 7m²/l for the second coat depending on surface porosity and profile.
    • Conditions: Avoid painting in wet or cold weather. Minimum temp 8º C
    • Drying time: Touch dry 6 hours. Hard dry 12 hours at 25 degrees.
    • Recoating time: 12 hours.
    • Requirements: 2 coats.
  • New Surfaces must be sound, clean and dry (moisture content below 15%) before painting.

WOOD PRESERVATIVE

  • A single component, long oil Alkyd linseed oil based wood protector.
  • A general purpose interior/exterior wood protector used extensively on doors, window frames, gates, fences, pergolas and garage doors.
  • Excellent water resistance.
  • Very tough and hardwearing.
  • Does not form a film which can crack or peel.
  • Excellent exterior durability and very UV resistant.
  • Very good protection.
  • Easy to maintain.
  • Type: Long oil Alkyd/linseed oil.
  • Appearance: Semi – gloss.
  • Colors: Clear. Mahogany and Ebony.
  • Solids: 45% by mass.
  • Specific Gravity: 0.90 – 0.91.
  • Viscosity at 25ºC: 95-70 Kµ.
  • Flash Point: 34ºc.
    • Mixing: Stir well before use.
    • Method: Brush.
    • Thinning: Mineral Turpentine.
    • Clean up: Mineral Turpentine.
    • Spreading rate: 10-12 m ²/l depending on surface porosity and profile.

  • Appearance: Matt/low sheen.
  • Colors: White and Pink.
  • Solids: 63-64% by mass.
  • Specific Gravity: 1.35 – 1.4.
  • Viscosity (Sheen Cup): 30 -35 Secs.
  • DFT/coat: Min 30µm Max 35µm.
  • Flash Point: 35ºC. 
  • Mixing: Stir well before use.
  • Method: Short nap mohair roller or brush.
  • Thinning: Mineral Turpentine.
  • Clean up: Mineral Turpentine.
  • Spreading rate: 8 – 10m ²/l depending on surface porosity and profile.
  • Conditions: Avoid painting in wet or cold weather. Minimum temp 8º C
  • Drying time: Touch dry 3 – 4 hours. Hard dry 16 – 18 hours at 25 degrees.
  • Recoating time: 18 hours.
  • New Surfaces must be sound, clean and dry (moisture content below 15%) before priming.
  • Ensure to prime the end grain to avoid moisture penetration.
  • Previously varnished surfaces.
  • For surfaces in poor condition: Strip down and patch prime.
  • Surfaces in good condition do not require priming.
